The colors are really like nothing else, & while the photos are beautiful, you have to see it in person to really get the full effect. Glass Gem Corn makes a fantastic decoration, from whole corn stalks to dried ears, or the shimmering kernels used as a bowl filler.
Glass Gem Corn is not just gorgeous, it is also edible. It has a very interesting history, but is considered a sturdy-stalked high yield flint corn. It can be made into flour or cornmeal, or a makes a fantastic popped corn with small, crispy, & strongly flavored popped kernels.
This Orange Glass Gem Corn includes a variety of different shades of orange, & this “medium” size offers medium or average size plants, ears, & kernels.
